Journey to Teaching Conference

Important Update: The Journey to Teaching Conference has been postponed until Fall 2015. A new date will be announced soon.

Hosted by the Inland Empire Reading Council and CSUSB’s Liberal Studies Program, this conference is designed to give teachers and future teachers ideas and take-away activities for the classroom in language arts, science, math and art. In addition, the conference will focus on further careers in education. The break-out sessions are presented by professional educators who have worked with children in the elementary classroom. The after lunch session will include a movie and popcorn. Bullying will be the theme for the afternoon “all attendees” session with a “Bullying Documentary and guided discussion afterward. The keynote in the morning presents children’s picture book author Diane Adams and Liberal Studies Coordinator Katherine Thomerson who will present power points on writing for children and the most recent best books published for use in the classroom. This is a day for laughter, contemplation, discussion and creativity. Lunch, prizes, vendors and you are all a part of this conference – Journey to Teaching; Promoting Literacy for All!!!!
